Persuasive Writing

I was leaning to write a persuasive piece of writing. I can agree or disagree with a topic. I can provide reasons why I agree or disagree with a topic. It was easy because there was a lot of ideas on the board.

Characters

I was learning to relate to characters in the text. I can talk about the characters and their behaviours. I can describe and explain characters traits with examples from the text. It was easy because I had the book to help me.

I was learning to read o'clock times and half past time on an analog clock. I can read half past times on an analog clock. It was easy because I read clocks lots at home.

Narratives

I was learning to write a narrative piece of writing. I can describe the setting. I can write a conclusion. It was easy because in the book tells you what to do.

I was learning to find and summarise information by choosing the most important information in the text. I understand how the information relates to the topic.
It was easy because at the back of the book helps you.

Division

I was learning to use equal sharing to solve division problems. I can share objects equally into different groups and turn it into an equation. It was easy because you can divide the fly into groups.

Identifying Key Ideas

I was learning to identify key ideas. I can find the important facts. It was easy because the book had lots of facts about different bugs.

Instruction Writing

I was learning understand what imperative verbs are. I can match the verb to its action. It was easy because I knew what the kitchen verbs mean.

I was learning to solve multiplication problems using Arrays. I can identify how many is in a row and a column. It was easy because the pictures helped me solve the problem.

I was learning to make predictions.I can ask myself before reading what I thing will happen.It was easy to make predictions because the picture on the front cover gave me some clues.

Statistical Investigation

I was learning to carry out a statistical investigation. I know how to do a tally chart. It was easy to count the totals in the tally chart because the numbers were in groups of 5.
